The Primary Teacher Training (PTT) course is a teacher training course for Primary educators. Candidates are taught essential skills on how to teach students, plan lessons, assign homework and grade papers, among other things.
PTT courses are taught at many different levels. Candidates can pursue a certificate, diploma, bachelor's degree and also a master's degree in Primary Teaching or Elementary Education. At the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, primary teacher training courses are B El Ed and MEd, respectively.
After successful completion of a primary teacher training course, candidates can become primary or nursery school teachers and can earn around INR 1.5-2 LPA in the beginning.
The admissions to certificate and diploma courses are done on the basis of merit, however, for degree courses such as UG and PG primary teacher training course, admissions are done on the basis of entrance examinations such as UGC NET, TET, etc. Many states conduct their own state-level entrance examinations to provide admissions to the PTT Course.
